PGWF 2-Day Educational Outreach in Ilorin: Empowering the Next Generation

The team at Phlorem Growth and Wellness Foundation (PGWF) embarked on a two-day educational outreach in Ilorin South, Kwara State. This mission was focused on empowering students, supporting less privileged children, and promoting the long-term value of education in the community.

Day 1: Laying the Foundation at Tanke B, L.G.E.A Primary School

The outreach began at Tanke B, L.G.E.A Primary School, a historic school in the heart of Ilorin South. Led by PGWF CEO Mr. Quadri, the team set out with a clear purpose: to bring educational support and hope to the next generation.

As the team traveled through Ilorin, the city’s charm and history served as a reminder of why education is vital for the growth of future leaders. Upon arrival, Mr. Quadri met with the school’s principal to discuss the institution’s most pressing needs and explore how PGWF could provide ongoing support. This conversation laid the groundwork for sustainable collaboration.

After the meeting, the students gathered as Mr. Quadri addressed them with a message of hope. He encouraged them to keep striving, stay curious, and believe in the power of educationThe team then presented stationery and school supplies to the top-performing students in each class. For many of these children, the recognition was a meaningful reward—fueling motivation and reinforcing the value of academic excellence.

Day 2: Supporting Less Privileged Students with Educational Resources

True to our promise, PGWF returned to Tanke B, L.G.E.A Primary School for the second day of outreach.

While Day 1 focused on celebrating excellence, Day 2 was dedicated to supporting brilliant but less privileged students—young minds filled with potential but facing challenges due to limited resources. Led by Mr. Jimfa, our Ilorin-based Manager, the team worked closely with the school staff to identify and assist these students. Essential educational materials were provided to help them stay focused on their learning journey.

During his address, Mr. Jimfa reminded the pupils that their background does not define their future and assured them that PGWF stands with them on their path to successThe smiles, gratitude, and renewed hope we saw throughout the day reinforced why PGWF remains committed to bridging the education gap in Nigeria.
