In February 2025, Phlorem Growth and Wellness Foundation (PGWF) carried out a powerful food outreach in Elega Community, located in the heart of Abeokuta, Ogun State. Known for its rich history and resilient people, Elega welcomed PGWF’s team with open arms—and urgent needs.
This initiative was part of PGWF’s ongoing community outreach programs across Nigeria, aimed at feeding the hungry, uplifting underserved areas, and supporting vulnerable populations.
Hunger Relief That Touched Lives
Our visit followed an earlier educational outreach, but the need for food relief in Elega couldn’t be ignored. As we arrived with our food van, the sight was overwhelming—dozens of families lining up, hoping for just one meal. It was more than a crowd; it was a clear cry for help.
With the support of the community chairman, local volunteers, and one of our dedicated team members who traveled from Lagos, we distributed nutritious food packages to households—each containing rice, noodles, and essential supplies.
A Simple Act, a Deep Impact
We came without fanfare—just open hearts and a mission to serve. And what we witnessed was more than need; it was resilience, gratitude, and humanity.
This outreach is a reminder that hunger in Nigeria remains a real issue—and one we must all address together.
