In a heartfelt effort to uplift vulnerable children, Phlorem Growth and Wellness Foundation (PGWF) visited Holy Name Missionary Orphanage in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. This outreach focused on providing food and educational supplies — essentials that meet both physical and emotional needs.
Our goal was simple: to remind the children that they are seen, supported, and loved.
What we Donated
The PGWF team came bearing gifts that, though simple, carried deep meaning and impact:
2 bags of rice – for daily nourishment
2 cartons of noodles – providing quick, nutritious meals
1 pack of fruit juice – a treat to brighten their day
Stationery packs – including books, pens, pencils, erasers, and rulers to support learning
These items, though modest, brought joy and relief to the children and their caregivers.
A Moment to Reflect
The children were visibly happy to see us. Their excitement grew as they caught sight of the items we brought — their faces lit up with joy and wonder. For many, it wasn’t just about the food or stationeries; it was the simple joy of being remembered, of knowing that someone cared enough to visit and give. That warmth was felt in every smile, every thank-you, and every tiny hand that reached out with gratitude.
The caregivers welcomed us graciously and shared the heartfelt stories behind the home they nurture with so much dedication. Their passion, commitment, and love for these children are nothing short of inspiring.
Our visit reminded us that true wellness isn’t only physical — it’s emotional, communal, and spiritual. And on that day, PGWF stood hand in hand with a community that radiated all those things.
